Man's best friend - the tree

A man is seen chopping down a tree with an axe, a saw lays next to him (devastation of our forests). Around him a few tree stumps can be seen along with a sign that reads: "The tree--absorbs moisture and prevents floods--acts as wind-break against cyclones--keeps fertile soil from being washed away--prevents drouth [drought]--protects friendly birds."
