The inside story of Hitler's blood purge : Chancellor Hitler greets President von Hindenburg

Chancellor Adolf Hitler greets German President Paul von Hindenburg on the occasion of a Berlin memorial ceremony to Germany's war dead in 1934. Hitler wears civilian clothes: an overcoat and top hat. Hindenburg wears the uniform of an Imperial German Field Marshall, complete with Pickelhaube spiked helmet. Behind Hitler are men, mainly in German naval, army, and Nazi uniforms. Most prominent are Joseph Goebbels (in civilian garb wearing a top hat) and Herman Goering (wearing a military greatcoat and “Stahlhelm” steel helmet), SS General Sepp Dietrich and Admiral Erich Raeder.
