Main Library Construction, July 2011 – April 2012
A construction project is underway at the Main Library's south entrance (facing the Red Cedar River). Wheelchair access to the building has been moved to the north entrance, across from Beaumont Tower. Barrier-free parking spaces are available on the east side of the building, between the Main Library and Olds Hall.
The purpose of the construction project is to replace the building's steam absorption chillers and install a new electrical substation. When construction is complete, the south entrance will be fully restored and replanted. For full details about the project, please see the Physical Plant's MSU Construction website.
