A Study in Green: MSU's Plant Community as a Living Laboratory

3rd Floor, West Wing
May-July 2013

From early on, MSU's landscape plantings have served as a teaching and research tool. They include many examples of Michigan's flora as well species from around the world such as the Katsura Tree and the Dawn Redwood. The plant communities include the "park like" areas of campus, numerous gardens and natural areas. As a visitor to campus said, "this is the only place I have been to where the trees grow labels."
