Stephen O. Murray and Keelung Hong Fund for History of Anthropology and Gay Studies

Stephen O. Murray graduated from MSU's James Madison College in 1972, did graduate work in sociology at the Universities of Arizona and Toronto and postgraduate work in anthropology at Berkeley. He has published extensively on the history of American anthropology and comparative studies of homosexualities. Keelung Hong graduated from Chen Kong University in Taiwan, did graduate work in chemistry at Berkeley, postdoctoral research at Stanford and UCSF. He co-founded bio-pharmaceutical companies Hermes Bio-sciences (acquired by Merrimack) and the Taiwan Liposome Company. He is CEO of TLC. Together Drs. Hong and Murray have published two books on American (mis)representations of Taiwanese culture. They live in San Francisco.
