Starting on Thursday, December 23, 2021, MeLCat Borrowing and Lending will be suspended while the MSU Libraries undergoes a significant software transition.

MSU students, staff, and faculty can continue to utilize interlibrary loan by placing requests through the MSU Libraries Interlibrary Services department. Community patrons will not be able to use MeLCat through the MSU Libraries during this time, but they can continue to do so using their local public library.

The Associated Students of Michigan State University (ASMSU) and the MSU Libraries recognize the following faculty who have adopted, adapted, and created OER for their courses. By using openly licensed educational materials (OER and open textbooks), these educators exemplify our mission of advancing affordability, accessibility, equity, and student success.

  1. Dr. Saul Beceiro-Novo, Assistant Professor Department of Physics & Astronomy
    • As an OER Award Program recipient, Saul has adapted the OpenStax College Physics open textbook for PHY 251 & PHY 252 courses.

    • As an OER Award Program recipient, Rajiv created the Basic Hindi OER used in LL 152, LL 252, LL 302, LL 402 courses.

    • As an OER Award Program recipient, Alison and Dan created an OER for the course IAH241D: Theatre & Society.

    • As an OER Award Program recipient, Dirk created an OER based on Jupyter notebook for the MTH/CMSE 314 course.
