Course Reserves
Materials placed on reserve by faculty for studio art and art history courses are available at the Art Library. Reserve materials may be requested at the Art Library circulation desk. Your instructor should provide lists of reserve materials, but you may use the "Search for materials on reserve" option in catalog to search for items by instructor name or course number.
For electronic reserve material, check your instructor's D2L course site.
Requesting Items:
Materials are filed by instructor name and by course number (if that faculty member has placed materials for multiple courses on reserve.) You must provide the name of the instructor and the title or titles of the items you need. A valid MSU student ID is required for check-out.
Loan Period:
Reserve items are checked out for two-hour periods. If you need the item longer, you may return it to the Art Library desk and ask that it be renewed (items in heavy demand will not be renewed.) If an item is checked out within two hours of the library closing time, the item is due back BEFORE the Art Library closes. All items must be returned to the Art Library circulation desk.
Fines:
Overdue fines for reserve material are a dollar ($1) per item per hour, 24 hours per day ($24 per day), from the time due until the time returned, with no grace period.
