Chicago Tribune : a newspaper that can not be intimidated
In response to Senator Hugo Black's investigation of lobbying irregularities, the Chicago Tribune prints a reproduction of a March 11, 1936, page initially published in the New York Times. The page includes an editorial cartoon that links Hugo Black's Ku Klux Klan membership with his attempts at muzzling anti-New Deal opposition.
