
Der Fuehrer addresses his Austrian subjects
On March 15, 1938, Adolf Hitler announces the incorporation of Austria into the German Reich to a crowd of people at Heroes' Square (Heldenplatz) in Vienna, Austria. Behind him is a throng of (mostly) uniformed men: SA (Sturmabteilung or brownshirts), SS (Schutzstaffel), and German military.
