Japanese customs : Buddhist monks
Japanese monks of the Fuke school of Zen Buddhism, known as KomusÅ, practicing blowing meditation (suizen) outside a temple. They wear traditional garb and perform with straw hat in the form of a basket over their heads. The blowing meditiation also serves as a begging ritual.
