RateWatch Scholar (2001 - 2024)

RateWatch Scholar Data contains deposit, loan and fee information for financial institutions across the U.S. from 2001-2024. Data is gathered from institutions of all types and sizes, including banks, credit unions, savings and loan associations, etc. and focuses on retail products offered to the general public.

Access

Access to RateWatch Scholar data is limited to current MSU affiliates only and requires login with your MSU NetID and password. Redistribution is not permitted.

Guidelines for Acceptable Use

Prohibition of commercial use, and guidelines for acceptable use:

The data is only for academic or private study in compliance with applicable laws. You are strictly prohibited from redistributing or reselling of the data. You may publish limited excerpts and a summarized or aggregated statistics or analysis of the data in academic and scholarly works but not the data in raw form. Please review additional terms.

Not following these policies is violation of university policy and subject to discipline.

You can download the data in two options:

• Individual compressed data files by year (.zip) includes in this folder:
  • Fee data feed master as of 2024
  • Loan data feed master as of 2024
  • Michigan Rates supplement data April-September 2022
• Combined compressed data files (.zip) this folder does not include Fee and Loan data, and Michigan Rates supplement data.
