Explore Video Games & Spaces

The Gerald M Kline Digital and Multimedia Center (Main Library 4 West) is home to game labs for study and recreation alike! Console games from our collection or yours may be played by individuals or groups in our fully equipped video game labs. Our space also provides 12 PCs with high-end gaming specs.

Available consoles and gear:

Play essentially any physical Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft console game from the N64/PS1/Xbox to the latest hardware, here in the library. A handful of exceptions apply (ask for details).
  • Nintendo 64 | GameCube | Wii U | Switch
  • Sony PlayStation 2 | PlayStation 3 | PlayStation 5
  • Sega Saturn | Dreamcast
  • Microsoft Xbox 360 | Xbox Series X
  • 12 gaming PCs (Windows 10 OS, Intel i7 CPU; Nvidia RTX 2070 Super GPU, 240hz Alienware monitors, etc.)
  • Audio headsets, webcams, capture cards, bluetooth transmitters, accessible controller devices (e.g. Xbox Adaptive Controller)

Borrow games and ephemera

Most video games circulate similarly to other audiovisual media, and may be checked out from the library for up to 14 days at a time. Some games are limited to 4-hour, library-use-only checkout, due to factors such as age, condition, rarity, piece count, and bulk. Ephemera—basically all the stuff in the retail package aside from the game disc or cartridge—is also available for curiosity, nostalgia, delight, etc. as well as study or research.

Reserve a Video Game Lab

A Video Game Lab may be reserved to use game media. Visit the Reservation System to book up to four hours per person, per day.
