Getting Started provides general information on freezing foods, the equipment needed and basic steps in freezing. There are recipes for Heritage Foods for New England, Deep South, Mid-America and Far West. Before each section of food type (fruits and berries, vegetables, meats, poultry, dairy products, fish and prepared foods) is general information on freezing methods and selecting products for freezing. At the end are tips on Thawing and Preparing foods for Serving, Care of Foods in Emergencies, Refreezing and Organic Gardening. There is an index followed by Frozen Food Facts.
