The front cover begins at the top with the title "Universal Cook Book" written in orange lettering followed by a drawn colored illustration of a woman reading an orange cook book. At the bottom, the trademark for Universal is stated. There is no back cover for this pamphlet. The front end page entails an advertisement for the Universal Electric Oven-Cooker written in dark blue lettering against a light blue background. All of the inside pages are dedicated to either recipes or informational pages about various appliances. Each recipe entails all the ingredients needed plus detailed directions on how to prepare the dish. The recipes fall under the categories of Soups, Fish, Meats, Vegetables, Salads, Sandwiches, Eggs, Pickles, Puddings, Pies, Cakes, and Breads. Some of the appliances discusses throughout the pamphlet are coffee percolators, cutlery, nickel ware, and vacuum bottles. There are illustrations located on the informational pages depicting the appliance on that page.
