Beginning Jan. 6, the new home of the MSU Libraries' Stephen O. Murray & Keelung Hong Special Collections on the third floor of the Main Library’s East Wing will be in operation after undergoing a transformational $13.8M renovation.

Services that were previously put on hold to accommodate the move of our staff offices and collections, including hundreds of thousands of delicate and valuable materials, are also now available. Faculty who use these materials for research and class instruction can now schedule appointments to view and engage with materials in the new year. Special Collections programming and Interlibrary Loan services will also be available starting in the Spring 2025 semester.

Now located on the third floor of the East Wing of the Main Library, the Special Collections holds over 500,000 printed works, numerous manuscript and archival collections, and an extensive collection of ephemera. For more information including scheduling, please visit the Murray & Hong Special Collections page.
