MSU Libraries collections updates for Fall 2025
Alongside campus-wide budgetary changes, the Michigan State University Libraries is experiencing a cut in funding that impacts our collections. To address this challenge, the MSU Libraries is conducting a thorough review of our subscriptions to databases and journals, in addition to other resources with ongoing costs, to assess what cancelations might be made over the next two years.
Factors that will contribute to cancelation decisions include usage statistics and subscription costs. Specific cancelations that are deemed to have a potentially high impact on a department or college will be communicated separately to faculty by appropriate subject librarians, including suggestions for possible alternative resources.
