Use this form to request that we purchase new streaming films for your class or to place films we already have “on reserve” for your class for better findability. Please do not assume that, because we have had a film on Kanopy or Swank in the past, it will continue to be available on that platform. Many of those films are leased and can disappear at any time. We are prioritizing purchasing films for perpetual access over leasing when possible, so we may purchase the film you want on a different platform than you are used to using in the past.
Many films, particularly newer films only available on personal streaming platforms, like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Disney+, and others, are not available for purchase by libraries. We will search for an educational version of the film you want but may not always be successful.
Please allow a couple weeks for us to process new orders for films. Filling out this form before the semester starts allows us to head off any emergencies by making sure the film(s) you want to assign will not expire in the middle of the semester.
We will communicate with you by email if we have questions or are unable to acquire the film. Please check the Reserves search to see if your films have been made available.
