Ransom's Family Receipt Book 1907

Description
The front cover is orange with a drawing of a mother cooking and a little girl holding up a bowl to be filled. Below the illustration is written "Published by D. Ransom Son & Co. Buffalo, N.Y., U.S.A." The back cover has an advertisement for Dr. Ransom's Hive Syrup and Tolu. Below that is stamped "Alton Drug Co., Bronson, Mich. Pure Drugs, Medicines. Perfumery, Toilet and Fancy Articles and All Druggists Sundries. Physician's Prescriptions Carefully Prepared." The inside is a promotional pamphlet on Ransom's medicines interspersed with cooking recipes. On the last page is a 1907 calendar. Recipes include Fruit Punch, Stewed Chicory, Indian Pudding and Banana Croquettes.
