The front cover is brown with a photo of fried chicken, coffee cake, cheesecake, and cookies. The back cover is red with the Quaker logo and address at the bottom. The pamphlet is an introduction to the use of whole grains. Pages 3-6 discuss what a whole grain is and how best to use them. Pages 7-14 discuss and have recipes on 1) wholegrain oat flour; 2) oats as a thickener; 3) toasted oats; 4) add-a-crunch; and 5) golden oats. The remainder of the pamphlet contains recipes for breakfast, soups, salads, and accompaniments, breads, main dishes, desserts, and cookies and snacks. Recipes have both conventional and microwave directions. There are color line drawings and color photographs. First printing, September 1978.
