The front panel is tan with brown ink. There is a woman holding a bottle of rootbeer. At the bottom is Clip and mail attached free offer coupon. The back panel has Beverage Economy, a promo on buying the extract to make your own. It is a sheet of paper folded in half length wise and then in thirds. When open full, inside is At the Fountain, too! a coupon for the latest Hires cook book, and an advertisement for the Eveready capper, Hantite cap, and crown caps. Once folded the first time, two panels have recipes. On the other side, there are line drawings of the steps to make Hires Root Beer and directions in English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Slavic, Polish, and Hebrew.
