Mirro-Matic Pressure Pan - Instructions, Time Tables, Recipes [1946]

Description
The wraparound cover of this oval die-cut pamphlet is orange, black and white. "Mirro-Matic" is in orange and "Pressure Pan" in white on a black horizontal band. Below is "Instructions Time Tables" in white and "Recipes" in black. The left, right and bottom edges have orange and white drawings of plates of food on a checkered tablecloth. The back cover has the Mirro-Matic Pressure Pan title repeated with "Mirro, The Finest Aluminum" below in black. The front end page has a photograph of the Mirro test kitchen with a promo that cookers are "Thoroughly tested and approved." The back end page has 9 Important Don'ts! for using the Mirro-Matic. The title page has a photograph of the Mirro-Matic in an orange circle with the title and company name and address in orange and black. There is a table of contents followed by Important! warnings, Mirro-Matic features with illustrations, detailed instructions on How To Cook, how to clean the Mirro-Matic and how the Mirro-Matic saves vitamins, flavor and time. There are tables for cooking various foods: Fresh Vegetables, Dried Vegetables, Dried Fruits, Cereals, Meats and Fowl, Soups and Chowders, Pasta and Rice, Fish and Sea Food and Frozen Vegetables amid the recipes. There is a section on instructions for pressure canning with time tables followed by a full-page illustration of "just a small portion of the complete MIRRO utensil line." The last page tells about Mirro products and how to replace the safety fuse.
