The front cover begins at the top with a bottle of Certo in a woman's hand with a jar of jam and jelly located behind it. The title "A Short Cut To Better Jams and Jellies" is written below the illustration in black lettering. At the bottom, there is an index for what can be found on each page of the pamphlet followed by the company name and address. The back cover is titled "Mrs. A Shows Mrs. B That Certo Pays For Itself" and continues with two separate processes for Mrs. A who used Certo and Mrs. B who did not. The end result conveyed that Mrs. A saved time and got more glasses of jam by using Certo. The inside pages begin with an index to all jelly recipes and continues with a diagram of "The Steps To Follow" for making jellies and jams. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to various recipes for jellies and jams. All recipes entail a list of ingredients needed plus detailed directions on how to prepare the dish. Some of the recipes listed includes Red Currant Jelly, Rhubarb Jelly, Guava Jelly, Pineapple Jelly, Peach Jam, and Tomato Relish.
