- The wrap-around cover is a color photograph of several foods from recipes in the pamphlet -- casseroles, pies, desserts, rolls -- on a table and window sill. The title is in the lower right in white lettering with a line of lilac flower designs above and below. The first page has an introductory letter from Mary Blake, Director, Home Service Department, which tells about Carnation Evaporated Milk now being "Velvetized for creamier, smoother, more nutrition, extra delicious cooking results." Two pages describe, with illustrations, how the new Carnation Evaporated Milk makes recipes better: easier, quicker, thriftier, smoother, lighter more nutritious. There are recipes for cakes and cookies, candy, desserts, main dishes, pies, salads, salad dressings, sandwiches, dessert sauces, meat and vegetable sauces, soups and vegetables. There are full color photographs with many recipes. There is one page of "Short Cuts From A to P" ("F: Fluorescent tape your house number on the mailbox near the driveway. guests will thank you.") At the end is another message from Mary Blake about the advantages of using Evaporated Carnation Milk and describes other Carnation Milk products. The last page has an index.
