Yuri holds a M.S. in Game Design from Full Sail University, a M.S. in Information Sciences with a focus on User Experience from the University of Tennessee, and a B.F.A. in Media Arts & Animation from Ai-TN. Their professional background includes roles at UCSC and UTC where they hosted workshops and provided consultations on multimedia and productivity applications. Previously, Yuri served as a producer and QA analyst for game studios in Orlando, collaborating with Wargaming and the Veterans Health Administration. They have also worked as a UX researcher for Seikyu's closed alpha and as an associate producer for the BAFTA-winning game "Before Your Eyes." Yuri's scholarly work includes mixed methods data collection and analysis for navigation applications, phenomenological studies of choice-based games and gender exploration, and the Pandemic Gaming Project, a digital archive documenting social and interactive events within the gaming community during the period of social distancing.
