The Richard Ford collection contains more than the author's manuscripts and published works. Special Collections also holds many of Ford's personal effects and papers. These include awards Ford has received over the years, folders of material from when Ford was an undergraduate at Michigan State University, the contents of Ford's home desk, and a variety of other items.
