Michigan State University

On March 16, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an Executive Order temporarily closing many public spaces. All academic libraries are included in this order. The Main Library is closed, but we still offer virtual services and many resources do remain available. Please see our Online and Distance Learning resource page for specific Library resources. Reference services are still available via chat and phone. We do have temporary policies for returning/renewing material.

Suggest a Purchase

Use this form to suggest the purchase of a book, DVD, or CD-ROM for the permanent collection of the MSU Libraries. The item can be held for you when received.

Please help us manage resources effectively. For casual or one-time use of a book or similar item, consider borrowing via the MeLCat system or other Inter Library Loan options.

NOTE: If you wish to suggest a journal or other subscription, please contact the appropriate Subject Librarian. Due to the substantial and ongoing cost of new journals, these requests will be evaluated in light of available funds and anticipated use.

NOTE TO FACULTY: If you want to place the book on Reserve (Assigned Reading) for your class, please use the Reserve Book Purchase Request instead.
