The back cover is plain brown. The inside displays the title page with the title, "The Care of the Mother and Baby's Welfare Proper Care and Feeding." Following that is a lengthy Table of Contents covering parenting topics including care of the mother, infant and mother mortality, breast feeding, how to prepare Eagle Brand Milk for feeding a baby, diet after the first year, fresh air, bathing, clothing, illness, malnutrition, a biography page, and a chart for weekly recordings of baby's weight and height. As topics are addressed in the book, some are illustrated with line drawings. At the right bottom of the last page is typed "Serial No. 17" and the printer's name is typed on the left bottom. The pamphlet is stapled together.
