- The front panel of this leaflet is printed with black ink on beige stock. Beneath the one word "Recipes" is a simple line illustration of a package of Gem Nut Margarine. The back panel, also in black ink on beige stock, has promotional text. At the bottom it says, "Made by Swift & Company Portland, Ore." and in very small print, a stamp of the Allied Printing Trades Council of Portland, followed by "Kubli-Howell Co., Portland, Ore." Inside, the leaflet unfolds to one sheet with the the heading, "The Nut Spread for Bread Use It in Your Cooking, too." Four recipes follow - Banana Cake, Banana Cake Filling, Lemon Fluff Pie and Butterscotch Pie Filling - all using Gem Nut Margarine.
