The front cover is beige with brown print. The title runs across the top, in front of a topographic map background and above an illustration of an old-fashioned coffee pot, a large skillet of fish, and a jar of Tabasco sauce. Beneath the illustration it reads, "Helps you make 36 different dishes by having only 16 non-perishable cooking and seasoning staples in your boat, camp or trailer." The back cover says, "However you go . . . by land or by sea the makers of TABASCO wish you a safe and restful trip." There is a detailed illustration of a car with a camper, and a powerboat in a bay. At the very bottom in tiny print it reads, "Copyright 1969, McIllhenny Co., Avery Island, La. TABASCO is the registered trademark for McIlnenny Co. pepper sauce." Inside is a list of "Sixteen Staples" with an explanation for each, and recipes organized by Main Dishes, Vegetables, Game, Seafood and Sauces, all using Tabasco sauce. Detailed drawings of dishes and outdoor scenes signed by John Scott appear throughout the pamphlet.
