The front cover features a photograph of cherry pie, fresh cherries and canned cherries. The back cover is white with the Hotpoint logo. At the bottom it says "By Appointment to Her Majesty the American Home Maker." In small print at the very bottom it says, "Printed in United States of America. Form No. F-611." The inside is a guide to preserving fresh fruits and vegetables using the "electric method" of oven canning, and also the pressure-cooker method. There are time tables, photographs, illustrations, and lists of methods for various foods. There is an index in the back.
