The front cover features a photograph of a smiling woman standing in front of a Hotpoint Electric Range on which rests cooked vegetables, meats and a loaf of bread. The woman holds up a decorated cake next to a table filled with other desserts. There is a wide upper and lower peach-colored border. The back cover features a photograph of steaks in an oven, and a photograph beneath that of a roast turkey in an oven. In the middle of the page is a red block and the words "Hotpoint Inc. A General Electric Affiliate, 5600 West Taylor Street, Chicago 44, Illinois." In small print: "V-6000-6-48 100M Printed in U.S.A." The inside is a collection of recipes and cooking techniques. On the inside front cover is a letter from Virginia Francis of the Hotpoint Institute. There is a Table of Contents in the front, and an Index to the recipes in the back. Recipes include: Corn Fritters, Vegetable Soup, Chicken Stew with Dumplings, Spiced Apples, Blueberry Pudding, and Soft Molasses Cookies. There is a punched hole at the upper left corner of the pamphlet for hanging with string.
