The front cover features a photograph of a standing rib roast on a blue tablecloth. The title is in black and red on a white square. The back cover features a photograph of lemon meringue pie and lemons. In a white square it says, "Look to Hotpoint for the finest . . . first! Hotpoint Co. A Division of General Electric Company, 5600 West Taylor Street, Chicago 44, Illinois." In tiny print at the very bottom is written "C-6000-CL (301296) 5-54 Printed in U.S.A. 25E." The inside is a guide to using the Hotpoint Electric Range as well as a collection of recipes and cooking techniques. On the inside front cover is a letter from Virginia Francis of the Hotpoint Institute. There is a Table of Contents in the front, and an Index to the recipes in the back. Recipes include: Rich Chocolate Icing, Marshmallow Lemon Icing, Boston Beans, Mushroom Dumplings, Seafood Croquettes, French Fried Onions, and Cherry Pie.
