The front cover features a color lithograph of an American Indian. In the lower left corner is written "Compliments of Chase & Sanborn Tea and Coffee Importers, Boston, Chicago, Montreal." The back cover says "Chase & Sanborn's Teas and Coffees" above a colorful illustration of containers of coffee and tea. Beneath the illustration is a stamp: "E.B. Russell 142 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, Mich. Selling Agent." Beneath that, in small print, is written "Copyright 1914 by Chase & Sanborn" and "Providence Lith. Co." The inside displays a black and white lithograph on every page, depicting an event from American History. The first page says "1492 - 1626 Settlement of New York." Beneath the illustration there is text about the event. The last event mentioned is "1863 Emancipation Proclamtion." The inside back cover discusses the 50th anniversary of the Chase & Sanborn company (1864 - 1914). There are no page numbers.
