The front cover is brown with white writing and a photograph of a woman holding a tray with three pudding or whipped dessert treats in glasses. The back cover has a brown checkered border. In brown lettering it says "Mapleine - for Syrup - for Flavoring - for Seasoning." Next to the writing is depicted the bottled syrup and its box. The inside is a collection of recipes using Mapleine imitation maple flavor, divided into cakes, pies, frostings, breads, cookies, frozen desserts, dinner dishes, and candy. Some of the recipes are: Mapleine Nut Bread, Orange Cake, Mapleine Ham, and Pumpkin Pie. Includes original letter and mailing envelope from Crescent Mapleine, with addressee and cancelled Harding 1 1/2 cent stamp. There are no page numbers.
