The front cover is green, with a photograph of Frank White and an Easter Bunny carrying a basket by his feet. On the basket it says "Free Food Baskets Every Session." Beneath White's name is promotional text, ending with "Distinguished Conductor of the Spring Sessions School of Gas Cooking Prudden Auditorium March 23,24 and 25, 1938." The back cover, also green, lists gas range dealers participating with displays of gas range appliances in local Lansing, Michigan schools. Names, addresses and phone numbers are given. The inside is a program for the three-day cooking school held at Prudden Auditorium in Lansing, Michigan. There is information on the presenting chefs, with a recipe from each (Rosemary Salade and Egg Foo Yong). There are photographs of gas ranges, descriptions of the appliances, and how to best use them. There are recipes from the first session, including Table Talk Cake, New Potatoes, Boston Baked Beans, and Kellogg's All-Bran Scotch Cookies. Many recipes call for Michigan products. There is also a Gas Cooking Chart.
