This item is in the public domain.
The front cover is beige with yellow, black and red print. There are depictions of the gold medal that Maizena corn flour won at the Paris Exposition of 1878. The back cover is filled with a bright lithograph of the factory and the title beneath reads "Duryeas' Glen Cove Manufactory, Glen Cove, New York, U.S.A. The leaflet unfolds to reveal four panels. The left panel has an illustration of Native Americans picking corn and grinding it in front of teepees, and promotional text about Duryeas' Maizena. The other three panels have recipes using Maizena, including Chocolate Pudding, Lemon Pie and a recipe "for children" that calls for boiling Maizena with milk and sugar. The flip side displays a panel of colorful medals awarded, and a bright yellow box of Maizena.
