The front panel has a yellow background with black borders top and bottom. There are peaches with leaves in the upper right corner of the yellow and fruits and vegetables across the bottom above the black border. There is a Kerr mason jar in them. The text It's canning time is in the top black border and is yellow. The rest of the title black and in the yellow background with the exception of part of the second N and the ING which have a white border. There is a black and white circular picture of a woman in an apron wiping a canning jar lid. The back panel has a top and bottom border in black. There is a yellow background with the peaches and leaves in the upper left corner. Inside the yellow is a black square bordered with red and white borders. Inside is Capture the peak of flavor in a yellow arc around a mountain of fruit and vegetables. Below the black square is red script writing America's Favorites. Between the bottom black border and the yellow is a green space with fruit in both the right and left corners. The words Bulletin No. 1137 are in the bottom black border. Pages 8 - 9 are a color advertisement for Kerr fruit jars, caps, kids and jelly glasses. Pages 12 - 13 tell of the Kerr test for seal and the Kerr principle of sealing. Page 15 discusses other booklets available.
