The front of the trade card features text that reads Hold To The Light, then below Peek-A-Boo, Peek-A-Boo accompanied by a drawing of a musical stave with notes indicating a song. The front is dominated by an oval portrait in which a color drawing of a sleeping child appears. The background color is brown. The back of the card features text that reads Mellin's Food For Infants And Invalids, beneath which a pair of eyes appears. If the front of the card is held up to the light, the eyes can be seen as if the sleeping baby is now awake. Additional text on the back of the card includes a testimonial dated April 19, 1888, plus The Doliber-Goodale Co., Boston, Mass.
