The cover of this spiral-bound cook book has a color photograph of a table with a pink cloth, pink dish of pink roses, a pink figurine holding pink roses, pink salt and pepper shakers, a green bowl of radish flowers, a bowl of olives and a yellow molded loaf in the forefront. The title is in pink on a white background with a pink border. The back is the same with the title lower on the cover. The title page has the title above "Approved Recipes From The Mirro Test Kitchen -- Third Edition, Completely Revised And Enlarged, New Illustrations." The company name and address is at the bottom. There is an introduction by Laura Wilson, Mirro Home Economics Director, with her photograph. There is a table of contents and an index at the end. There are recipes for appetizers, soups, fowl, fish, meat, salads, sandwiches, beverages, pies, desserts, cakes, cookies, breads, pasta, eggs, vegetables and candies. Interspersed are instruction on using and cleaning various Mirro products, including the aluminum fry pan, French fryer, coffee maker, cake pans, cooky press and pressure cooker. At the end are tips for caring for aluminum utensils, directions for measuring, food terminology, calorie chart, foods to serve 25, functions of nutrients, equipment for the kitchen, lunch box menus and menu planning. There are some color illustrations of prepared foods, backed by black-and-white illustrations of Mirro products.
