The front cover of the pamphlet has a beige background, with black text that reads How Brer Rabbit Found His Home, And His Personal Recipes For Creole Desserts & Candies. Also on the front cover is a color drawing of Brer Rabbit carrying a carpetbag and using a cane on his way to New Orleans. A red-breasted bird sits on the road sign pointing the way to New Orleans. Below, a color portrait of Brer Rabbit separates the two sections of text on the front cover. The beige back cover of the pamphlet is blank. The title page of the pamphlet includes a black, brown and white portrait of Brer Rabbit, plus text reading This Book To My Many Friends, Brer Rabbit, Penick & Ford Ltd., New Orleans, La. Approximately the first half of the inside pages include the story of Brer Rabbit's world travels, eventually leading him to New Orleans. Black, brown and white drawings accompany the story. The second half of the inside pages include recipes, introduced as How Brer Rabbit Solves The Cake, Candy And Dessert Problem. A single-page promotional message is included on one of the last few pages, followed by an offer to obtain more copies of the publication at no charge.
