Description

This features a wraparound brown and black checkered background. The front cover shows a painting of a girl, boy and baby playing outside and enjoying the spring blossoms. The title "Health Growth and Happiness for Boys and Girls" is written in a light blue lettering and is located at the bottom of the page. The back cover entails the Ralston's red and white shield in the center. The front end page begins at the top with the title "The Third Parent" and continues with a few paragraphs about Ralston being the third parent to young boys and girls. The following inside pages are informational pages about various topics such as "Children's Meals," "Care and Prevention of Colds," "Children's Diseases," "Wholesome Breakfasts," "To Keep Them Happy When it Rains" and "Common Foods." On page nine, there is a wheat chart illustrating where the nutriment is in a grain of wheat. Pages fourteen and fifteen consist of "The right Height and Weight for your Little boy and girl." These charts show which weight and height a child should be at when they hit a certain age. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to Ralston Recipes. Some of the dishes include "King Cole Cookies," "Tommy Tucker Bread," "Fried Ralston" and "Red Riding Hood Cup Cakes."
