Description

The front cover features a black and white frame with a portrait of a woman wearing half glasses and holding an orange plate with cookies inside of it. Below the portrait, the title "Chex Create-A-Recipe Book" is written in red letting followed by the phrase "Prize- winning recipes from Chex Create-A-Recipe Contest." The back cover is a plain yellow color with the form number and printing information located in the bottom left and right corners. The front end page consists of a couple paragraphs explaining the Ralston Purina Co. along with recipes located in this pamphlet. There are four Chex cereal boxes photographed. These boxes include Bran Chex, Corn Chex, Wheat Chex and Rice Chex. The following inside pages feature various recipes that fall into the four categories of snacks, appetizers, salads, main dishes and desserts. There are color pictures of multiple recipes throughout the entire pamphlet. Some of the recipes depicted include Kangaroo Pocket Bread, Healthy Honeys, Chex Demi-Tarts, Wine and Cheese Cocktail Balls, Honey Crunch Fruit Salad, Crunch Chex Spinach Salad, Ham 'N Cheese Supreme, Crunchex Upside-Down Cake and Sour Cream Apple Squares.
