The front cover features a drawn color illustration of a school slate with red and blue edges that form a frame for a chubby baby sitting on a pillow while holding a pencil in his left hand and a booklet in his right hand. The title "Chubby's Magic Book" is written in white lettering. The back cover contains a thin white line and a red line framing a drawn color illustration of a sun behind a box of Fletcher's Castoria sitting on ice bergs. Below, the phrase "It's benefit to childhood is as certain as the sun" is stated in blue lettering. At the bottom, the signature of Chas. H. Fletcher is also listed in blue lettering. The front end page entails a paragraph describing what Castoria can be used for along with what it does. The following inside pages contain "Chubby's Magic Alphabet Spelling Lesson." These pages entail a drawn illustration and sentence for each letter of the alphabet. For example, the letter "A" has a drawn axe along with a sentence below that reads "A Stands for Axe and Apple too." For each letter, rubbing a lead pencil over the picture shows the object and name of the other object. There are various charts throughout the inside pages dedicated to the moon's phases for each day during the month along with when the sun rises and sets plus when the moon rises and sets. The back end page features "A Leading Educational Publication" and a letter to all mothers signed by Chas. H. Fletcher. No page numbers.
