Description
The front cover features a drawn black and white illustration of a little girl rolling pie crust. There is a measuring spoon hanging on the wall behind her right arm and the numbers 1906 behind her left arm. Above the illustration, the title "Ransom's Family Receipt Book" is written in black lettering. At the bottom, the publisher information is stated. The back cover begins at the top with a sketch of a nurse attending to a sick little girl in a hospital bed. below, the sold by information is listed in black lettering. The front end page contains an index for all receipts that can be found in this pamphlet plus the retail price list of remedies that can be purchased. The rest of the inside pages are dedicated to various receipts and testimonials. All receipts include the ingredients needed plus directions on how to prepare the dish. The testimonials are written by different individuals who have used Trask's Magnetic Ointment. On page thirty two, there is a calendar for the year 1906. The back end page is titled "Receipts in Books of 1903, 1904, 1905" and contains a list of all the receipts printed during those years.
