Party Sweets [1953]

Description
The front cover shows two mint green milk glass platters filled with candies on a dark brown background. Between the platters is a drawing of a yellow and white wrapped candy with the title and author's name in red and black print. The yellow back has a large can of Carnation Evaporated Milk to the right of "In Recipes...use double-rich, heat-refined Carnation Milk." Below are three recipe cards promoting the TV show, "Burns and Allen," the radio show, "Stars Over Hollywood," and the cook book, "The Cook's Handbook" (send in 35¢). Amid the recipes for candies, sauces, toppings, icings, sherbets, freezes and cakes are illustrated instructions for Quick Chocolate Fudge and photographs of two desserts. At the end is a yellow box with information to send for additional recipes. This was reprinted in 1957 with the same name and a different back cover.
