The yellow back has a large can of Carnation Evaporated Milk to the right of "For better results at less cost, cook with Carnation Milk." Below are three recipe cards promoting the TV shows, "Burns and Allen" and "The Bob Crosby Show," and the cook book, "The Cook's Handbook" (send in 35¢). The front end page has an Introduction by Mary Blake, Home Service Department, Carnation Company below a color drawing of a chef holding a large cornucopia of food. Amid the recipes for Easy Main Dishes, Casserole Cooking (including "Husband-pleasing" Chicken-Rice Bake) and Make Mine Creamy are illustrated instructions for Juicy Meat Balls, color photographs of two dishes and color drawings.
