Lisa English has a long history of helping and training others in and outside of her team. This past year she trained many of her colleagues in serial record editing. This was needed due the tens of thousands of serial titles transferred from our Main Library to Remote. Many needed location updates, bibliographic updates and holdings updates in both Sierra and WorldCat. Some serial titles were not even represented at all in our catalog.  The work she oversaw was vital in making our serial records more discoverable and accurate.

Her knowledge of the database was invaluable in gathering and organizing work for her colleagues. Much of her team's work involves finding, correcting and processing database records and gathering statistical information.  Since COVID-19 sent our staff home and doing online work was our only option, it has been challenging to gather records and group them into manageable and logical workflows for each person without causing too much overlapping of work. Lisa has been the key player in organizing all of this. Additionally, some of our staff needed to learn new processes which required training which Lisa provided online as well as by phone. Lisa's expertise and positive attitude makes her a pleasure and a treasure to work with.
